Editorial Process

Manuscript submission

The corresponding author submits the manuscript through OJS and uploads the title page, cover letter, declarations, and required supplementary files. The work must be original and must not be under simultaneous consideration by another publication.

Technical and documentary screening

The editorial team verifies compliance with the Author Guidelines, the selected section, manuscript structure, required documentation, Vancouver style, and anonymization of the review file. Incomplete submissions may be returned for correction before editorial assessment.

Initial editorial assessment

The responsible editor examines thematic relevance, originality, clarity, overall quality, and alignment with the focus and scope of PRAXIS. The editor may proceed with evaluation, request preliminary corrections, or issue a reasoned editorial rejection.

Integrity, ethics, and originality

When applicable, the journal verifies originality, similarity, authorship, conflicts of interest, funding, ethical approval, informed consent, study registration, data availability, and disclosure of artificial intelligence use.

Reviewer selection

Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are assigned to external reviewers with appropriate subject or methodological expertise. Reviewers must disclose potential conflicts of interest and accept their duties of independence and confidentiality.

External peer review

PRAXIS uses external double-anonymous peer review for original articles, review articles, clinical cases, and scientific essays. Reviewers assess originality, relevance, methodology, analysis, ethics, results, discussion, conclusions, references, and presentation.

Editorial decision

Reviewer reports inform the decision but do not replace the editor’s responsibility. The available decisions are:

• Accept the submission.
• Publishable with minor revisions.
• Resubmit for review or complete major revisions.
• Reject or determine that the manuscript is not publishable.

Revision and reassessment

Authors submit a revised manuscript and a detailed response to each comment. Manuscripts requiring major revisions may be returned to the reviewers. A request for revision does not guarantee final acceptance.

Acceptance and editorial production

Following acceptance, the manuscript undergoes editorial correction, standardization of references and metadata, composition, proof preparation, author review, and final quality control.

Publication and post-publication oversight

The article is published with its bibliographic information and editorial dates. After publication, PRAXIS may issue corrections, errata, expressions of concern, retractions, or other notices when necessary to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
